Which 2008s are affected?
Petrol 2008s from 2013 on with the 1.2 PureTech, in both the first and second generation.
From May 2026 Peugeot switched the 2008 Turbo 100 to a timing chain. Cars built after that don’t need this job.
BlueHDi diesels and the e-2008 have different engines.

Peugeot’s service interval for the PureTech belt has been 6 years or 62,000 miles since April 2017. Peugeot and Vauxhall have also offered extended cover on some belt-related failures, up to 10 years or 112,000 miles, if the car has been serviced to schedule. Keep your service records: they matter if you ever need to make a claim.

How long it takes
Most wet belt jobs take one working day. If the car reaches us before 9am it is usually ready the same afternoon. A Friday job that runs over is finished on the Saturday so you can collect it, and a booked weekend job dropped off by 9am Saturday is done by Sunday.
