Which vans and cars have it
The 2.0 EcoBlue diesel runs its timing belt in oil and uses a second belt in oil for the oil pump. That is why we price it as a kit and change both together.
You will find it in the Transit and Transit Custom from 2016, the Tourneo Custom, chassis cabs, the Ranger 2.0 from 2019, and later Mondeo, S-Max, Galaxy and Edge EcoBlue cars. Not sure which engine your van has? Send us the registration.

Timing belt
An OE-spec cam drive belt for the 2.0 EcoBlue.
Oil pump belt
Done in the same visit, so you do not pay the labour twice.
Strainer clean
Old belt debris is cleaned out of the oil pickup.
Oil and filter
Ford-spec oil and a new filter once the system is clean.
The water pump is not part of this belt job. If you want it changed while the front of the engine is open, it is £120 extra.

Interval and downtime
Ford first gave a long interval for this belt, then cut it back to around 6 years or 100,000 miles. Vans doing stop-start work around Royston, Baldock and the A505 get diesel in their oil, which is hard on a belt that sits in it. We would rather change it from 60,000 miles, or at the first rattle from cold.
Plan on your van being with us for one working day. If it is here before 9am it is usually ready the same day.

Vans off the road for as short a time as possible
Many of the Transits we do belong to trades working around Royston, the A10 and the A505. Bring the van in before 9am and it is usually ready the same afternoon. Collection is free within 5 miles of the workshop. From Baldock, Hitchin or Buntingford, ask us about collection when you book. Weekend slots can be pre-arranged if the van cannot be spared in the week.

Is a Ranger the same price as a Transit?
Transit and Transit Custom are from £900. Other layouts can take longer, so we confirm the price from the registration.
Do you always fit a new sump or cover?
No. Only if the original will not seal, and any extra is quoted first.
Can I keep using the van until it is booked in?
If it rattles or the oil light has come on, use it as little as you can and call us. A failed EcoBlue belt means engine work, not just a belt.
Will you collect a Transit Custom from Letchworth?
Collection is free within 5 miles of the workshop. From Letchworth, ask us about collection when you book.
What warranty comes with it?
