The car suddenly loses power and won’t rev. Often boost, sensor or DPF related.
Other warning lights

Why a code alone isn’t a diagnosis
A cheap code reader might say “oxygen sensor”. The real cause can be an air leak, a wiring fault or a fuel problem that makes the sensor report a bad reading. Swapping parts on a guess costs more in the end.
We clear the codes after the repair and road test the car to make sure the light stays off.
Fault finding in Royston
The workshop is at Unit 6, Block 2, Lower Gower Road, off the A505 on the north side of Royston. Collection is free within 5 miles of the workshop. From Ashwell, Baldock, Letchworth Garden City, Hitchin or Buntingford, ask us about collection when you book. You are always welcome to drop the car off yourself.
If the oil pressure or temperature light is red, stop and call rather than driving in. We can collect the car.

Can I keep driving with the engine light on?
If it is steady and the car drives normally, get it checked soon. If it is flashing, or the car is losing power, slow down and get it looked at straight away.
Will you just clear the light?
No. Clearing a code without fixing the cause only hides it, and it will come back.
