Which Mokkas and Astras?
Mokka (2021 on): the 1.2 turbo petrol is the PureTech engine.
Astra (2022 on): the 1.2 turbo petrol is the PureTech engine.
Older Mokka X and Astra K models used other engines. Electric versions are not affected.

Strainer cleaned
The sump comes off and the oil pickup strainer is checked and cleaned.
PSA-approved oil
A new filter and 5W-30 to PSA B71 2290.
Sump only if needed
A new sump only if the old one won’t seal, quoted first.
Water pump optional
It isn’t driven by this belt, so it’s an optional extra, priced on request.

Newer cars and the interval
These are newer cars, so many are still within their first belt interval. If yours is approaching 6 years or 62,000 miles, or the oil changes have slipped, it is worth getting a quote.
Peugeot’s service interval for the PureTech belt has been 6 years or 62,000 miles since April 2017. Peugeot and Vauxhall have also offered extended cover on some belt-related failures, up to 10 years or 112,000 miles, if the car has been serviced to schedule. Keep your service records: they matter if you ever need to make a claim.

How long it takes
Most wet belt jobs take one working day. If the car reaches us before 9am it is usually ready the same afternoon. A Friday job that runs over is finished on the Saturday so you can collect it, and a booked weekend job dropped off by 9am Saturday is done by Sunday.
