What the Puma has
Most Pumas (2019 on) use a timing chain for the cams, with a separate wet belt driving the oil pump. That small belt sits in the oil and wears the same way, shedding debris onto the strainer.
The earliest cars may still have the full timing belt in oil. If yours does, the full EcoBoost job is from £850 with the water pump included.

Oil pump belt work on a chain engine

How long it takes
Most wet belt jobs take one working day. If the car reaches us before 9am it is usually ready the same afternoon. A Friday job that runs over is finished on the Saturday so you can collect it, and a booked weekend job dropped off by 9am Saturday is done by Sunday.
